About the Artist

Where the Wild Remains
Debbie Lund, Wilderness Artist
The Mountains call me, to explore, to be curious and to find what I am really capable of.
I walk deep into the forests, I venture to the top of mountains, not just to gain a confidence within myself but to remember that...

The mountains have always been my teacher.
Long before I ever called myself an artist, I was wandering the forests, climbing ridges, sleeping beneath the stars and carrying a sketchbook into places where words seemed unnecessary.
I paint because some places ask to be remembered.
Not simply for how they look...
but for how they feel.
The silence before sunrise.
The weight of old forests.
The presence of wildlife.
The light that lasts only a few moments before disappearing forever.
Those moments have shaped who I am.
My paintings are an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember that the wild still has something to teach us.

I paint the moments when the wild reminds us who we are
